Although actors should not be sharing any kind of promotion for their upcoming movies, it seems thatCurtis “50 Cent” Jacksonwas not going to let that stop him sharing his personal character poster forExpend4bles…orThe Expendables 4as most people call it. However, Jackson had a reason other than promoting the movie for sharing the image…and that was to complain about how he looks in the poster.
Jackson is one of the newcomers toThe Expendablesfranchise, but even as the new boy, he is more than entitled to get a good looking character poster, right? It seems that the one that has been delivered is not up to the rapper’s standards, although he clearly believes that a certain craggy-faced franchise lead will be getting a poster that lives up to his reputation. In his post, Jackson complained:

“WTF did we run out of money? Why my head look like it ain’t connected to my body. I bet they are gonna make [Sylvester Stallone] look great.”
When a poster has a lot of graphics work going on, realism is not usually top of the priority list, and the image of Jackson, with his weapon in hand, against the kind of drop-in explosion that looks like it smells of sulfer and could turn him into a superhero, clearly isn’t going for a real-life feel. This could be one reason that things are not up to scratch as far as therapper-turned-actoris concerned, or perhaps with no one to promote the movie, things may indeed have slipped a bit in the budget department.

Having stepped away from making an appearance inRockyspin-off sequelCreed III, Sylvester Stallone looks set to bow out of hisExpendablesfranchise as well. Having appearing in the previous three movies as the main man, this time around Stallone seems to behanding over the reins to Jason Statham, and is expected to make his departure from the movie pretty early on.
However, even without Stallone on screen for the full movie, there is plenty more action men and women to keep things going bang. As well as returning stars Dolph Lungren and Randy Couture, the boys will be joined this time around by Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, Andy Garcia, Iko Uwais, and, of course, Mr “50 Cent” himself, Curtis Jackson.
For Jackson, his success in shows likePowerhave opened up a whole new world, and it was revealed last year that he and filmmaker Eli Roth have signed a three movie deal with 3BlackDot, with the moviesThe Gun, TrackmasterandCreature Housebeing the expected titles of the features, which will have a focus on BIPOC representation. Additionally, Jackson is reported to be working with fellow rapper Eminem on aTV adaptation of the movie8 Mile, and hisVice CityTV show will be heading to Paramount+ soon.
