Are you ready to seeDwayne JohnsonandZac Efronrunning in slow motion on the beach together? If you answered yes, then you’re in luck, because the first trailer for the upcoming R-ratedBaywatch moviehas finally landed online. This is a very different kind ofBaywatchthan those who grew up watching the show in the 90s are used to, but there are still lots of women running around in swimsuits, only this time they are joined byThe Rockand some NSFW comedy. So there’ll surely be a lot more cursing and possibly even some nudity.

Paramountdecided to release the trailer online this week shortly after moving back the release of theBaywatchmovie by a week. That decision was likely influenced by the fact that 20th Century Fox recently bumped up the release ofRidley Scott’sAlien: Covenantby nearly three months to May 19, which was when Paramount originally intended to release the movie. Apparently, they figure it is better not to compete with such a huge movie on opening weekend, even though they have one of the most bankable stars in the world on their side in the form ofDwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

The plot of the R-ratedBaywatchcenters around a dedicated lifeguard named Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson), originally played byDavid Hasselhoffin the series, who winds up at odds with a cocky newcomer named Matt Brody (Zac Efron). The two are ultimately forced to work together to stop a criminal conspiracy that is threatening the beach.Kelly Rohrbachis also in the movie and will be playing the character made famous byPamela Anderson, C.J. Parker.Alexandra Daddariois also set to star in theBaywatch movie, which will serve as her second movie withDwayne Johnson, since they worked together on the blockbuster disaster movieSan Andreas. Even though their characters are being played by other actors in the movie, bothDavid HasselhoffandPamela Andersonare set to cameo in this newBaywatchmovie as well. And Bollywood superstarPriyanka Choprais the villain.

Zac Efronhas seen a huge change and resurgence in his career ever since he got into the rated R comedy game withNeighborsalongsideSeth Rogenin 2014, which was given a sequelNeighbors 2: Sorority Risingthat was released over the summer. He also starred inMike and Dave Need Wedding Datesthis year, both of which turned a decent profit.Dwayne Johnson, on other hand, had yet to headline an R-rated comedy until this year when he starred inCentral IntelligenceoppositeKevin Hart. It turns out people just like to seeDwayne Johnsonin anything that he decides to be in, because the movie made a very impressive $216 million worldwide. Paramount is likely hoping thatThe Rockcan provide the same kind of box office boost forBaywatch.

The originalBaywatchTV series initially aired in 1989, but became a global sensation in the early 90s afterPamela AndersonandYasmine Bleethjoined the cast for the second season.
