8Paradise Hills

Paradise Hillswas released in 2019 and is a sci-fi fantasy that features performances from Emma Roberts in the leading role. The movie follows a group of women who are sent to a strange island, which is only referred to as ‘Paradise’, for the purpose of a therapy program designed to alter their behavior. González stars as Amarna, who is an internationally famous singer that has been sent to the island for behavior therapy. Due to her large following, she plans to escape with the help of her fans. The filmreceived mixed reviewsfrom critics, however, was praised for the acting performances and strong visuals. González’ performance was a real highlight, and we end up rooting for her character throughout.

7Bloodshot

Bloodshotwas released in 2020 and is an action thriller that sees Vin Diesel take the title role as Marine who is kidnapped by a group of mercenaries and, later, murdered. Moments later, he awakens and finds himself resurrected by a company using cutting edge technology to turn injured and disabled people into powerful part machine cyborgs. González appears as KT, an employee at the aforementioned company as a result of them fixing her failing respiratory system. The film received mixed reviews, however, has potential to be expanded into a cinematic universe.

6Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

González tasted her first major franchise when she appeared inFast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shawin 2019. The film was a continuation of theFast & Furiousfranchise, which is one of the most successful and highest-grossing franchises in the history of cinema. González appears as a tactically minded billionaire known as Madame M, who assists the main cast in completing their mission. The film was fairly well received by critics, and so was González’ performance, representing the beginning of her appearances in successful franchise films.

5Alita: Battle Angel

2019 saw the release of the Manga adaptation,Alita: Battle Angel, which starred Rosa Salazar as the leading role. Salazar plays a woman who has been brought back to life by a group of scientists, and she is then forced to fight against a variety of enemies who seek to destroy her. Once of these includes González, who plays a killer robot known as Nyssiana. The film was well received by critics and represents a particularly strong performance by González.

4Ambulance

Ambulancewas released in 2022 and is an action thriller directed and produced by Michael Bay. The film is based on the Danish film of the same name by Lautris Munch-Petersen and Lars Andreas Pedersen, and features starring roles from Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The plot focuses on two adoptive siblings who have become bank robbers and hijack an ambulance in order to escape, inadvertently holding the first people who respond hostage. González plays EMT Cam Thompson, who is a hostage in the situation, and her performance is a particular highlight.

3Godzilla Vs. Kong

2021 saw the release ofGodzilla Vs. Kong, which is an epic monster film directed by Adam Wingard. The film serves as a sequel toGodzilla: King of the Monsters, and is the 36th film in theGodzillafranchise overall. The film stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Julian Dennison, Lance Reddick, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir. In the film, Kong clashes with Godzilla as humans lure the ape into the Hollow Earth to retrieve a power source for a secret weapon to stop Godzilla’s mysterious rampages. González stars as Maia Simmons, who is involved in the scientific group of the movie. It’s a great action film which is well worth a watch.

2I Care a Lot

I Care a Lotwas released in 2020 and is a satirical black comedy thriller film written and directed by J Blakeson. The film follows a con woman (Rosamund Pike) who makes a living as a court-appointed guardian, seizing the assets of vulnerable elderly people, including the mother (Dianne Wiest) of a dangerous gangster (Peter Dinklage). González appears as Fran, and it’s a departure from her usual type of role, which is enjoyable to witness.

1Baby Driver

Baby Driverwas released in 2017 and was a massive success among audiences and critics alike. The film centers around a getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) who tries to quit his life of crime after he finds love in Debora, a waitress who takes and instant liking to him (Lily James). González is Monica Castello, who is a criminal involved in several high-action scenes. It’s an excellent film, and her stellar performance adds to this.
