Uhura tries to give Spock back his mother’s necklace in a new clip fromStar Trek Beyond. But as she soon learns, it is not in the Vulcan custom to receive back that which is given as a gift. This lands the pointy eared paramour a well deserved kiss on the cheek, which leave the alien a little stunned and bewildered. Standing nearby, Bones sees the whole interaction and is genuinely concerned for his friend.
‘Did you guys break up? What did you do?’ Asks Bones. Spock is not necessarily pleased with this typically reductive inquiry from the doctor. That leads Bones to dispense this great pearl of wisdom, ‘You know, Spock, if an earth girl says it’s me not you…It’s definitely you!’ Bones then pats his friend on the back, setting his sights on what the Space Station Yorktown has to offer.
