Anthony Michael Hall made a name for himself in the 80s starring inJohn Hughes' original teen comedy trilogy, starting with Sixteen Candles in 1984 followed by both Breakfast Club and Weird Science in 1985. The actor, who is now 48 years old, has been charged with felony of battery with serious bodily injury by the Los Angeles County District Attorney. This news was first reported byTMZ.

The incident took place roughly two months ago. Hall reportedly broke his neighbor’s wrist before injuring the individual’s back in analtercationthat took place outside their respective homes in Playa del Rey, California. In security footage obtained by TMZ, a man identified as Hall can be seen arguing with another individual before pushing that person to the ground.

Thefightbroke out over a gate that was left open by Hall’s neighbor. The two had an earlier altercation in 2011, which resulted in Anthony Michael Hall being arrested for suspicion of disturbing the peace in that neighborhood. At the time, onlookers claimed that Hall was screaming obscentities before challenging unknown individuals to a fist fight in the street.

Anthony Michael Hall has been making a quiet comeback over the past couple of years. He was last seen on the big screen in the 2014 award season dramaFoxcatcher.
