The hit series has long maintained a spot at the top of the list of the best-reviewed TV shows, as averaged by fan voting for each episode. It has a strong 95% approval rating with nearly two million total votes. But afterThe Last of Uspremiered on HBO to widespread acclaim, the video game adaptation hadovertakenBreaking Badwith an IMDb rating of 9.6.

Of course, it’s certainly worth noting that there had been far less total votes compared toBreaking Bad, and this is comparing the start of one TV series to a completed five-season show. Even so, landing in that spot was a great accomplishment forThe Last of Us, even if the show has since slid back down. With more new episodes coming in, the overall average has declined to 9.3, but as that’s still very high,The Last of Usnow currently ranks at No. 3. The show has a near-perfect approval rating of 96% on the Tomatometer, and the audience score is even higher at 97%. There are obviously not many people who watch the show and aren’t impressed, which can also now be said for the start ofThe Last of Us. The HBO series has a 96% approval rating on the Tomatomer with a 93% audience score.
