Back in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was launched withIron Man.Captain America: The First Avengerhit the big screen three years later in 2011. While these heroes became part of the foundation forMarvel’s The Avengers, they now find themselves battling one another in the firstPhase ThreeadventureCaptain America: Civil War, hitting theaters May 6. TodayMarvel Entertainmenthas released a new TV spot, which showcases footage from these first movies, showing how Cap and Iron Man’s relationship has evolved throughout the years.
This TV spot also features footage from last summer’sAvengers: Age of Ultron, whereTony Stark(Robert Downey Jr.) tellsSteve Rogers(Chris Evans) that he doesn’t trust anyone who doesn’t have a dark side, which served as a precursor of sorts to the conflict that will unfold inCaptain America: Civil War. Unfortunately, we don’t get too much new footage fromCaptain America: Civil Warhere, but there are two interesting shots. We seeThe Winter Soldier(Sebastian Stan) firing his weapon, while the next shows War Machine (Don Cheadle) being shot out of the sky. Does this mean Winter Soldier is responsible for taking down War Machine? We’ll find out in less than one month.
Marvel’sCaptain America: Civil Warfinds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team ofAvengersin their continued efforts to safeguard humanity.
