Way back in November 2013, whenMarvelandNetflixfirst announced their new showsMarvel’s Daredevil,Marvel’s Jessica Jones,Marvel’s Luke CageandMarvel’s Iron Fist, the announcement claimed that all four shows would debut sometime in 2015. This plan ultimately proved to be too ambitious, with only two of the four shows,Marvel’s DaredevilandMarvel’s Jessica Jones, arriving within that calendar year. The remaining programs haven’t been given a specific premiere date yet, but the officialJessica Jones Twitterpage released a new photo that could hint at a November debut forMarvel’s Luke Cage.
The seemingly innocuous photo is a close up shot atJessica Jones' (Krysten Ritter) desk, which features a file folder that simply reeds “Cage - November.” It’s worth noting thatMarvel’s Jessica Jonesdebuted on Netflix this past November, with thestreaming servicehanding out aSeason 2 renewalearlier this month. Netflix didn’t say when the new season may premiere, but it’s possible thatLuke Cage, which could debut in November while production presumably gets under way on the second season ofMarvel’s Jessica Jones.
There is still very little we know about the last of Marvel’s Netflix shows,Marvel’s Iron Fist, which just addedScott Buck(Dexter, Six Feet Under) as the executive producer/showrunner last month. IfMarvel’s Luke Cageisn’t debuting until November, then it seems unlikely thatMarvel’s Iron Fistwill debut later this year, with its premiere likely being held to 2017. It is also believed thatThe Defendersminiseries, which will bring together all four of these characters, won’t arrive until sometime in 2017.

Night Nurse,Mahershala Alias Cottonmouth,Theo Rossias Sonny,Alfre Woodardas Black Mariah, Simone Missick as Misty Knight and Sonia Braga as Claire Temple’s mother. Another cryptic teaser forDaredevil Season 2teased thatLuke Cagemay have a presence when that show returns in spring 2016. While the video didn’t show any footage, it did reveal that Matt Murdock’s favorite Hell’s Kitchen dive bar, Josie’s, will be turned into Luke’s, hinting thatLuke Cagehimself may take over the bar.
