Diego Luna’s rebel spy may be destined to help steal the plans for the Death Star in hisStar Warsfuture afterAndor, but his final appearance in the highly acclaimed series has detonated aStar Warssurge on Disney+ following the finale of Tony Gilroy’s series. AsAndorSeason 2 came to a close, the Disney+ Top 10 was overtaken by a huge amount of interest in otherStar Warscontent, ranging from the original trilogy to more modern offerings.
Except for the number two slot and tenth position, which are held bySpider-Man: Across the Spider-VerseandAvengers: Endgame, respectively, every other slot is taken by aStar Warsmovie or TV show.

Every Star Wars Movie Ranked by Rotten Tomatoes
While Disney has shifted more toward TV series, the Star Wars movies will always have been the biggest moments in the franchise. Here’s every film.
Naturally,Andoris holding the top spot, which is unsurprising considering the show has continued to deliver the best reviews of any live-action project ever released by Lucasfilm. The series conclusion on Wednesday brought to an endone of the greatest journeys undertaken withinStar Warscanon, and perfectly closed the story of Cassian Andor.

The chart then consists ofStar Wars: Tales of the Underworld, the new animated anthology that has also been delivering strong reviews and viewership, the three movies of the prequel trilogy,A New Hope, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, andThe Empire Strikes Back. If anyone needed proof that, despite continued gripes about the quality of newStar Warscontent, the franchise – or the Force if you prefer – is still strong.
The Future of ‘Star Wars’ Is Movies
WhileAndorhas been an incredible piece of television, the focus on small-screen projects is now over for Lucasfilm, as after seven years,Star Warswill be back on the big screen in 2026. In fact, other thanMandalorianshows such asAhsokaSeason 2, and other animated projects, the bulk of Lucasfilm’s attention is now on rebuilding (the Empire) the movie franchise that was once the centerpiece of the franchise.
While many movies have been discussed in the last several years, with many either being abandoned, delayed, or altered into another project entirely, the franchise’s future is now taking shape. The Mandalorian & Groguwill hit cinemas next summer, bringing the story of Pedro Pascal’s character to cinemas, and paving the way for the culmination ofThe Mandalorianera with a movie from Dave Filoni sometime in the next few years.

This will be followed byStarfighter, a brand-newStar Warsstory from Shawn Levy, which will star Ryan Gosling, and movies by James Mangold (Dawn of the Jedi), Taika Waititi, andDaisy Ridley’s return to the franchise under the direction of Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, which is believed to be coming in 2027. These movies will be served up alongside several others, and a handful of TV shows, but, like every major franchise, the slate of projects seems to be constantly in flux.
One thing that is for certain is that, right now, theStar Warsfranchise has never been more popular on its permanent home of Disney+. The rebellion may have happened a long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away - we know) but it looks like it is also happening right now.
