As anticipation continues to grow forStar Wars: The Force Awakens, originalStar WarscreatorGeorge Lucasrevealedearlier this monththat he had started to develop a new trilogy just beforeselling LucasFilmto Disney. It was believed that Disney may have used some of George’s ideas while developingStar Wars: The Force Awakens, but, in a new interview withCinemaBlend, the filmmaker claims that isn’t true, and that Disney got rid of all his ideas.

“The ones that I sold to Disney, they came up to the decision that they didn’t really want to do those. So they made up their own. So it’s not the ones that I originally wrote [on screen inStar Wars: The Force Awakens]”

Last week,George Lucasrevealed that he had finally seen the teaser trailer, and that he was impressed with the first footage. He also claimed that he “has no idea what they’re doing” with the movie. The only confirmed details we have regardingStar Wars: The Force Awakensrevolve around new cast members and their characters.John Boyegaplays a Stormtrooper named Finn,Daisy Ridleyportrays Rey, andOscar Isaacis an X-Wing pilot named Poe Dameron, all of who we saw in the first trailer along with ball droid BB-8. We were also introduced to a cloaked Sith villain with an unusual light saber named Kylo Ren.

Before directorJ.J. Abramstook over the screenwriting duties withLawrence Kasdan,Michael Arndtwrote the first draft of theStar Wars: The Force Awakensscreenplay. It isn’t known if that original script included any ofGeorge Lucas' ideas or not, but even if that is the case, they surely won’t be seen in the finished film.
