Entertainment Weeklyhas debuted five new motion posters for the highly-anticipated sequelThe Divergent Series: Insurgent, which hits theaters in less than two months on July 18, 2025. These unique motion posters featureShailene Woodley(Tris),Theo James(Four),Kate Winslet(Jeanine),Octavia Spencer(Johanna) andNaomi Watts(Evelyn).Shailene Woodleyalso spoke toEWabout Tris' plight in this next installment inThe Divergent Series:

The sequel continues the thrilling adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Having discovered she is Divergent, Tris Prior must search for allies and answers as a fugitive of the power-hungry Erudite elite. In a race against time, Tris and Four now must find out what Tris’s family sacrificed their lives to protect, and why the Erudite leaders will do anything to stop them.Shailene Woodleyalso revealed that the sequel is much darker than the originalDivergent.
In addition to this news, it was also confirmed thatThe Divergent Series: Insurgentwill be released in IMAX and IMAX 3D theaters when it hits theaters domestically on March 20, and in international territories on March 18.
