It seems only fitting that two stars ofDolly Partonand Keanu Reeves' professional stature would be in one another’s orbit. As it turns out, Reeves’ mother, Patricia Taylor, actually designed the bunny outfit Parton wore for the October 1978 issue of Playboy magazine. And Parton remembers meeting a very young Reeves during that time. Parton said in an interview with Drew Barrymore (viaThe Drew Barrymore Show):

“She [Patricia] did a lot of sewing for me, she did a lot of my clothes. But I remember Keanu when he was just little. And she would bring him over to my house when we were fitting, or when I would go to the shop where she worked. And one day, years and years and years ago, I was doing a show somewhere and somebody knocked on the door.

And, of course, Keanu was already famous at that time. He knocked on the door, and he said, ‘Do you remember me? I’m the little boy that used to sit at your feet while my mama was doing [your fittings].’ And I said, ‘Oh my god!’ I knew he had become a star, but it didn’t connect to me that that was who that was.”

Reeves Wore Parton’s Playboy Outfit

During their sit-down, Drew Barrymore revealed to Dolly Parton that she’d heardKeanu Reevesdonned the singer-songwriter’s iconic Playboy bunny outfit for Halloween when he was 16 years old. Reeves told David Letterman, while promotingThe Matrix: Revolutionsback in 2003, that he sported the full regalia. He rode around on a streetcar wearing long ears and the bustier along with his own personal touch… tennis shoes. And Parton was delighted to learn from Barrymore that Keanu refers to her black Playboy suit as his favorite “costume he’s ever worn.” Barrymore told Parton in the same interview:

I would love to see Keanu Reeves in your [outfit].
