Gridiron Gang Divided Audiences & Critics
Gridiron Gangis a prime example of a sheerdivide between audiences and critics. The sports drama was met with mixed reviews critics, landing 44% onRotten Tomatoesalongside 81% from audiences on the Popcornmeter. The critics’ consensus reads, “The role of probation officer Sean Porter fits Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson like a glove; however, the execution is so cliched, the youths' stories (based on real events), fail to inspire.”
However, on the other side of the divide, Rotten Tomatoes user Theode A declares, “If you want to watch a movie with motivation speeches, this is definitely for you,” while Mikey F says, “Absolute cheese, but good stringing cheese. Good to see the Rock playing an actually character. All been done before but a worthy effort. Worth a watch.”
