According toSports Illustrated, pro wrestler turned Hollywood movie starDwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnsonhas two sisters and three brothers added to hisfamily tree. DNA test reveals that Lisa Purves, Paula Parsons, Trevor Edwards, Adrian Bowles and Aaron Fowler are also the children of The Rock’s late father Rocky Johnson. The five adult children found each other but never connected with their WWE hall of famer father who passed away in 2020. Since Rocky made little effort to connect with his children, a young Dwayne was never given the opportunity to be close withhis half siblings.
Born Wayde Bowles, the wrestler began performing under the stage name Rocky Johnson and was dubbed “the best wrestler of the past 40 years when it comes to doing a dropkick series.” AsSports Illustratedbroke the news, 53-year-old Lisa Purves told the publication that she had reached out to her father on a number of occasions, once when she was 18, and he hung up. She tried again a few years later and left a message. He did not return her call. Before Purves turned 30, she got her dad on the phone again and told him who she was and once more, he hung up. Purves says she went as far as asking other wrestlers to speak to Rocky on her behalf, but nothing ever came of it, adding:

“I was really embarrassed that my father didn’t want me.”

Lisa Purves is currently working on a film that documents the small reunion shared between her and most of her new-found siblings at an Airbnb in Toronto in 2018.Just Call Me Lisa, the working title of the documentary is still in production. When asked about their connection to their superstar brother The Rock,
“Dwayne doesn’t owe us anything,” said Lisa. “We just want to be recognized,” said Paula, 58. “We sat on the back burner forever. [Rocky] was our dad just as well as Dwayne’s.”
A post on social media reads:
“People used to tell Trevor and Aaron, two total strangers, that they resembled a world-famous wrestler. Through family stories and Facebook sleuthing and DNA, they found their father, Rocky Johnson – and they found a new family too.”
Each of The Rock’s half siblings have made clear that this is not about their celebrity brother, who has described his own relationship with Rocky as “incredibly complicated.”
