Yellowjacketsis set to make its dramaticseason 3 return in 2025after an extended hiatus from season 2. The show continues to follow the 1996 New Jersey high school girls' soccer team and the events that took place in the aftermath of their horrific plane crash. Forced to weather the elements for a shocking nineteen months, the acclaimed show connects the events of the crash with the present day, 25 years after the incident.

Yellowjackets

As the characters slowly descend into madness, the bodies begin to fall. Whether from cannibalism, failed attempts at survival, or even turning on another, the cast has slowly dwindled down. But as their past continues to haunt them in the present and the mysticism of the woods keeps its hold on them, the number of characters who continue to pass away keeps rising. For those waiting in anticipation for the next season, here is a comprehensive list of every character (and dog) who won’t be appearing in season 3.

16The Plane Crash Victims

The crash is where it all started for the group of teens and their coaches. It was as horrific and unexpected as the rest of the show and put in place the dark scenes that would come next. Plane crashes have a tendency to become graphic fast and this one was no different. The girls were tossed about as the plane’s turbulence created a dire situation.

Absolute Shock

The initial crash saw the first player on the team meet their untimely demise. Rachel Goldman was shockingly impaled during the crash and was given a brief funeral by the rest of the girls. The plane crew also did not survive the crash and their coach, Bill Martinez, was initially thought to be dead but was later found in a tree. Although Coach Martinez did not survive much longer than the initial plane crash victims. This is where the wilderness first took its victims and there arehints at the group returning to the haunted woods in season 3.

15Coach Bill Martinez

Coach Martinez, played by Carlos Sanz is another victim of the initial plane crash. But as he was thrown from the plane crash, this was not able to be confirmed until his body was spotted impaled by a tree branch. Whether or not he was dead before the branch snapped has been argued by fans, but his death shed the team of another adult, leaving the teenagers to have to continue to sort things out on their own.

A Deadly Fall

In the aftermath of Martinez’s death, his sons Javi (Luciano Leroux) and Travis (Kevin Alves) were hit the hardest by this. Javi, being the youngest surviving member of the crash attempted to hold onto his father’s memory by chewing the gum his father gave him until being scolded by Travis. Travis, later feeling bad gives Javi their father’s ring to hold onto. While Coach Martinez was a tough father, he was a great coach and went out in a deeply dramatic and upsetting way.

14Kristen (Crystal)

Kristen was a particularly shy teammate, too nervous to correct people when they incorrectly called her Crystal. Kristen, played by Nuha Jes Izman, was a quirky outsider much like Misty which is why they eventually formed a bond. It is one of the manygreat female friendships inYellowjackets. But like many who have gotten close to Misty, Kristen unfortunately was met with an untimely death after discovering that Misty purposely ruined the team plane’s emergency transmitter.

Keeping Friends Close

Once Kristen realizes how nuts Misty truly is, she becomes horrified and nervously backs away. But in the middle of nowhere, she slips off of a cliff and falls to her death, thus saving Misty from being found out. In what would be an awful way to go in most cases, in this show, Kristen actually received a more tame death.

Taissa (Tawny Cypress) has suffered intense, violent nightmares since the events of the crash. The nightmares became so bad that she had to be tied up while she slept. She would often wake up in a dreamlike state questioning how she had arrived there and what had taken place. The nightmares followed her into adult life and with the stress of a political campaign taking place, they became worse. When their family dog went missing and Taissa awoke with a bite to her hand, the perpetrator appeared to come to light.

Where’s Biscuit?

The stress of her campaign and being blackmailed causes Taissa to spiral until she eventually moves out of her own home to find peace and keep her family safe. When her wife goes home to grab some of her belongings to bring to her, she discovers a horrifying scene in the basement.

What she finds is a collection of pieces of Biscuit’s mangled body strewn about in a shrine, with his head placed on a doll. It is what causes a more permanent ridge between Taissa and her family and makes it all too clear who was behind Biscuit’s disappearance. There were a number of conspiracies swirling around his disappearance but this one was finally solved. But there are still plenty ofconspiracies and theories to unfold in season 3.

But for all anyone knows, he may just be a guy who got caught up with the wrong girl. The Wrong Guy

Her husband Jeff attempts to blackmail the Yellowjacket girls and winds up pushing Shauna over the edge as she suspects something more nefarious.

In a confrontational scene with Adam, Shauna isn’t pleased with his answers to her questions and suddenly stabs him. The girls are forced to dispose of the body and cover up Shauna’s mess. 9Mr. Scatorccio

Part of what makesYellowjacketssuch a remarkable series is the amount of development each character receives. In flashbacks to when each girl is a teenager, you begin to learn a bit more about their lives. Unfortunately for Nat (Sophie Thatcher), fans learn that she was neglected by her mother and physically and mentally tormented by her father. Her tumultuous upbringing explains her cold demeanor and turn to drugs and alcohol.

A Shocking Death

After being confronted by her father for having Kevyn in her room, Mr. Scatorccio becomes livid and turns on both his wife and Nat. Mr. Scatorccio brutally attacks his wife and Nat pulls a gun on him in the hopes of getting him to stop. When she does attempt to fire the weapon, the safety is on and her father yells at her for being stupid.

As he retrieves the gun though, he accidentally misfires and shoots himself, dying instantly. In one of the more emotionally tense scenes of the series, it is a death that left a mark on Nat and fans alike.

After the group finds Lottie to be a new spiritual leader for a strange cult-like community they realize a familiar darkness exists within the group. The girls come together to hopefully unearth more information from Lottie but find that her mental well-being may have been permanently altered from their time in the woods. Lottie later lets the girls know that the wilderness requires another sacrifice and the girls hatch a plan to hopefully do away with the madness once and for all.

A Final Sacrifice

Nat and the girls decide to let the ritual take place with Lottie at the helm so that she does not believe they are actually dubious of her. As the ritual takes place and Shauna is chosen as the sacrifice, madness ensues as Shauna is pursued in a primal game of chase.

7Javi Martinez

Javi, played by Luciano Leroux appears in the series as the younger brother of Travis Martinez. His innocent nature often serves as a reflection of the dark events that take place while alone in the woods. For much of the show, Javi goes mysteriously missing and isn’t located until season 2 when another offering is required to take place. His surprise appearance is what makes it one of thebest episodes of season 2.

An Icy Finish

Javi reveals himself to Nat after she is selected and forced to run. He attempts to help save her from her own potentially miserable death. But as they run to keep away from the rest of the pursuing girls they run out onto the ice where a crack starts to form.
