The Flashstar Ezra Miller has raced into the spotlight in an attempt to assureZack Snyderfans that the movie will not erase the so-called Snyder-Verse from canon, debunking several recent rumors. While some supposed leaks have claimed thatThe Flashwill use its multiverse-centered plot to erase the likes ofBatman V Superman: Dawn of JusticeandJustice Leaguefrom existence, Miller has taken to Instagram to state that this is not the case, and that “No power or force in any known megaverse would or could ever erase Zack Snyder’s mighty wrkz.”
An image of the exchange has made its way ontoReddit, with the actor continuing, “You can take that quote. Take that to the bank, to the press, to the schools, to the military, and the other pillar of capitalism I’m forgetting cause of that thing where you try to think of a group of things you always forget one of them.”

The recent rumor thatEzra Millerhas responded to claims thatThe Flashwill act as a soft-reboot of the DC cinematic universe, removing all of the plotlines put in place by Zack Snyder. This would include erasing the likes ofMan of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of JusticeandJustice Leaguefrom the franchise’s continuity, as well as removing Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman and replacing them with Michael Keaton’s returning Dark Knight and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl.
Of course, Miller could simply mean something a little more spiritual, and asserting that no force can erase Snyder’s efforts from our collective memories-slash-from the annals of cinematic history, rather than literally removing them from the ongoingDC universe. The comic book movie franchise has seen decidedly mixed results ever since Snyder’sMan of Steel, and there is certainly an argument to made regarding the idea of usingThe Flash’smessing with the multiverse to essentially start things over again while keeping the elements that have worked.
Snyder fans will sadly have to wait a little while to find out exactly what Ezra Miller means and if any of these rumors are true. After languishing in development hell for years,The Flashmovie is finally happening, and while details are being kept under wraps, it has been revealed that The Flash will introduce audiences to the DC multiverse, using the comic book arc “Flashpoint” as a major inspiration. The big screen outing therefore will find the Justice League member traveling back in time in an attempt to save his mother, who was murdered during Barry Allen’s childhood. As is so often the case, things quickly go awry for The Scarlet Speedster, and Barry’s meddling finds him emerging in a much bleaker alternate universe in which the Amazons and Atlanteans are involved in an all-out war that has left the planet destroyed.
