Fans finally got their first good look at 20th Century Fox’sFantastic Fourwhenthe trailer debuted back in January. While it remains unclear when the next trailer will debut, the studio has released a new poster, featuring starsMiles Teller(Mr. Fantastic),Michael B. Jordan(The Human Torch),Kate Mara(The Invisible Girl) andJamie Bell(The Thing), along with the tagline “Change is Coming.” While we don’t get to see Mr. Fantastic’s unique stretching abilities on display, the poster does show The Human Torch’s fiery hands and even shows some of The Invisible Girl fading away, along with the monstrous Thing. Perhaps the studio is saving Mr. Fantastic’s powers for the next trailer, but we’ll have to wait and see.
These four heroes are all seen gazing at the same mysterious portal that was shown briefly in the trailer. There is speculation that this may be a gateway to The Negative Zone, which was called simply the N-Zone in the UltimateFantastic Fourcomics which this movie is believed to be adapted from. In the Ultimate comics, the N-Zone is tied to how this foursome received their incredible powers, and it is also home to a villain known as Nihil. In the originalFantastic Fourcomics, the Negative Zone was home to villains such as Blastaar, Annihilus, Stygorr and Noktiis. None of these characters have been confirmed for the reboot at this time, but it’s possible that they could emerge inThe Fantastic Four 2sequel that is already in development and set for a 2017 release.

Fantastic Fourcenters on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. While we don’t get to see them in this one-sheet, the supporting cast is rounded out byToby Kebbell,Tim Blake NelsonandReg E. Cathey. Take a look at the poster to prepare yourself for directorJosh Trank’s reboot, arriving in theaters August 7.
