It kicks off with a prologue that shows youngReed Richardstrying to build a teleporter after abandoning his ideas for a flying car. He eventually grows up to be the world’s smartest scientist, but an accident sends him and his friends on the adventure of a lifetime.
This all-new footage also works in setting up the longstanding relationship between Reed and Ben Grimm, who have been best friends since childhood. We also get to see more of Sue and Johnny’s father, played byReg E. Cathey. He is forced to watch as the military uses his family as weapons of war. But it will not stand!
