Arriving next week,Fantastic Fourgives us a decidedly differentDoomthan we’ve ever seen before. And until now, we still haven’t seen much of what this super villain can do.Toby Kebbell, who is following inAndy Serkis’s footsteps as one of the go-tomotion capture actors, embodies this iconic Marvel character as a stalking mass of glowing green metal. Here, we see his rise before the fall.

These two new Fantastic Four TV spots don’t just give us a better look at Doom. We also get to seeMarvel’s first familydiscover their superpowers for the first time. The first spot showsReed Richard(Miles Teller) and his team of scientists heading off on their fateful trip, where an accident exposes them to the dangerous of an alternate dimension. They return to earth transformed, and it’s a trying time for these four individuals. Especially Reed, who feels responsible for what he has brought upon his friends.

The second spot highlightsJamie BellasThe Thing. 20th Century Fox is clearly trying to sell this as a fun superhero adventure that has this mass of orange rocks destroying tanks and exhibiting his massive strength. It also helps set Doom up as a force that is stronger than the entire Fantastic Four combined. Will they be able to stop him? That’s anybody’s guess. If this new iteration of the franchise follows both the comic books and previous movies,Toby Kebbell’s Doom will stick around for a long while, becoming Richard’s main advisory.

In an earlier interview,Toby Kebbellrevealed that he is much more a part of Marvel’s first family than the comic books ever hinted at. He’s found a surrogate father in Dr. Storm, with Sue and Johnny becoming his brother and sister in spirit. After the trip that gives them all superpowers, Doom becomes a very angry guy. And he is very smart, which doesn’t make for a good combination. Though, his motivations for taking over the world have not yet been revealed in any of the footage or trailers.

Fantastic Four is a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team. The story centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. Take a look at some never-before-seen action and get a better sense of what Doom is all about in these latest two TV spots.
