All good things must come to an end, which might not be applicable to SyFy’sSharknadofranchise. Was it ever good? That’s irrelevant at this point in time as the network aims to releaseThe Last Sharknado: It’s About Time, or as it’s officially titled,The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time. The movie will be the last installment in the series until SyFy figures out a way to cleverly reboot the franchise next year. While we’ve seen brief teasers over the last handful of months, we have now seen the full-length trailer, thanks to San DiegoComic-Conand theSharknadopanel at Hall H this evening.
SyFy’sSharknadoseries was engineered to be “so bad that it’s good,” from the beginning. Since then, the network has been able to ride on the coattails of the Discovery Channel’sShark Week, which in recent years has almost become just as absurd as whatSharknado 6will more than likely be. However, bothShark WeekandSharknado 6will have new competition this year with the addition of Jason Statham’sThe Meg, which boasts a 75-foot prehistoric shark. Nobody will be safe fromThe Megthis summer, except maybeSharknado 6.
The Last Sharknado: It’s About Timewill premiere on August 19th, and it will see Ian Ziering’s Fin character travel back in time after finding himself alone on Earth after it was destroyed. Fin will go back in time to the days of the firstSharknadoin order to save the world after learning of the true power of the Sharknado. Fin will have to fight Nazis, dinosaurs, knights, and will even take a ride on Noah’s Ark this time around. Time is of the essence inSharknado 6.
The newSharknado 6trailer offers a much different take on the story than we’ve seen in the teaser trailer that was released back in May of this year. Quite honestly, there’s a lot to take in and there’s even hints that traveling back in time may allow for Fin to stop the Holocaust from ever happening through the power of Sharknados. There’s a lot going on in the new trailer, but it’s just more for fans to sit and digest before the movie premieres on the SyFy Network later this summer.
AS previously mentioned,The Last Sharknado: It’s About Timewill premiere on August 19th on the SyFy Network following their Sharknado Week, which starts on August 12th. Sharknado Week will take place nearly a month after the Discovery Channel’sShark Week, which takes place from July 22nd to July 29th. But,Sharknado 6is going to have some stiff competition with the release ofThe Meg, which hits theaters on August 9th. It’s entirely possible that mere mortals will have had way too much shark in their systems by the time that Sharknado Week takes place. Regardless, you may check out the first full-length trailer forThe Last Sharknado: It’s About Timebelow, provided bySyFy.
