Those who followJared Letoon social media got a big surprise earlier this week, when the actor revealed two new photos getting back into his Joker character, with the green hair and white face paint. Some thought that there might be more reshoots forSuicide Squad, or that he was shooting theJustice Leaguemovie in London, but a recent tweet stating he just arrived in Miami shuts down that theory. Instead, we have word that he was living back inside hisJoker personato shoot aSuicide Squadmusic video withSkrillexandRick Ross.
Batman-News' sources claim that the music video shoot happened in Miami this week, and while the song’s title isn’t known quite yet, the track will be featured as part of theSuicide Squadsoundtrack. The song actually debuted during aSkrillex/Rick Rossperformance at WAV Nightclub in Atlantic City back in April, and while it’s hard to discern most of the lyrics in the YouTube video below, you can hear references toSuicide Squad, Gotham City, Killer Croc and a “purple Lamborghini,” referencingThe Joker’s car, which is actually a custom-made Vaydor 35.
It isn’t known if any of the otherSuicide Squadcast members were brought in for this music video shoot, or when it may actually debut. This news comes as the studio seems to be ramping up their promotional campaign for this comic book adaptation. Just a few days ago, we showed you a prequel comic book that debuted with a “brand of hair dye,” and we also recently showed you a promo video that introduces Task Force X as if they were a soccer team, in conjunction with the Euro 2016 team announcements.
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarceratedSuper Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
It was also recently reported that Warner Bros. is planning a spinoff forMargot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, with another report claiming thatThe Jokerand Captain Boomerang spinoffs are in the works. Of course, those will likely depend on how wellSuicide Squadfares at the box office when it hits theaters August 5. While we wait for more on the movie and this upcoming music video, take a look atJared Leto’s recent Joker photos, along with a video of this untitledSuicide Squadsong, performed live in Atlantic City.
