Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine will star inI Saw the TV Glow, a new horror feature from A24 and Fruit Tree. The logline for the project sees two teenage outcasts, played by Smith and Lundy-Paine, who bond over a shared love for a scary television show. However, the boundary between TV and reality starts to blur after the show is mysteriously canceled.
Smith was one of the stars ofJurassic World: Dominion, the latest entry in the long-running franchise that’s been going on since 1993, or 1990, which is when Michael Crichton published the original book. Despite lackluster critical reviews, Jurassic World: Dominion grossed $984 million worldwide. Smith’s next film be starring inDungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thievesalongside Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, and Sophia Lillis.

Lundy-Paine was one of the stars of the well-received comedic dramaAtypical, which you may watch all four seasons on Netflix. They were inBill & Ted Face the Musicas Billie Logan, the daughter of Ted Logan (Keanu Reeves). Besides that, they also appeared in the 2019 Oscar-nominated dramaBombshell, which starred Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie.
According toThe Hollywood Reporter, “there is a strong musical contingent in the production with indie rock artist Lindsey Jordan (Snail Mail), musician-director Fred Durst, Haley Dahl’s Sloppy Jane (featuring Phoebe Bridgers), and King Woman also on the roll call,” and Amber Benson. She loaned her vocals to Anthony Stewart Head’s Music for Elevators alongside Hanes Marsters and Alyson Hannigan.
Helena Howard, who recently starred in The Wilds after her breakout role in Madeline’s Madeline, and Danielle Deadwyler (The Harder They Fall) will also star in the production. Additional cast members include Ian Foreman (Let the Right One In), Michael Maronna (The Adventures of Pete & Pete), Conner O’Malley (Broad City), Emma Portner (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), and Danny Tamberelli (Grand Theft Auto V).

Stone and her Fruit Tree partners Dave McCary and Ali Herting will produce the projectalongside Sarah Winshall with Smudge Films and Sam Intili.
A24 is financing and handling the worldwide release. Among their horror movie credits areThe VVitch,Hereditary,X, and most recently,Bodies Bodies Bodies. They’ve branched out into a wide variety of other genres, with films such asSpring Breakers,Ex Machina,Lady Bird, andEverything Everywhere All at Once. They recently got into stop-motion withMarcel the Shell with Shoes On.
I Saw the TV Glowwill mark thecontinued collaborationbetween Fruit Tree and A24. Together they’re producing the television adaptation of Stacy Willingham’sA Flicker in the Dark. They worked together on Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut,When You Finish Saving the World, which starred Julianne Moor and Finn Wolfhard. Stone will also star alongside Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie in A24’sThe Cursefor Showtime.
