The Best ‘Love, Death + Robots’ Season 4 Episode Makes a Major Change to Its 30-Year-Old Source Material
The change that ‘Spider Rose’ makes to its source material results in a jarring conclusion to the episode.
The latest season holds a perfect 100% Tomatometer score, but after the incredible highs of previous seasons, some viewers were left disappointed that the new episodes did not quite live up to their predecessors. ‘Love, Death & Robots’ Is a Series That Has No Boundaries
What setsLove, Death & Robotsapart from many other shows is the drastically different way each season – and indeed each episode - plays out. Past seasons include stories about Soviet soldiers fighting against aliens, an artist inspired by a pool-cleaning robot, a killer crab aboard a sailing ship, and three robots touring a post-apocalyptic Earth. Season 4 continued to shuffle the deck and deal with plenty of alternating weirdness, laughs, and even a touch of music with a bizarre recreation of a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert.
While many shows have been said to become repetitive over time,Love, Death & Robotsis proving that this is where the anthology series can shine. While the new season does revisit a couple of previous stories, in general, the talent and expanse of the storytelling on offer means that it is hard to find the show boring, and if you don’t like one particular story, there is a completely new one following it.

The series is also not averse to bringing in some well-known faces and voices to the show. The new season’s voice cast included Mr. Beast, Kevin Hart, John Oliver, Niecy Nash, John Boyega, and Rhys Darby, among others. All in all, there is a lot to love about the show, especially if you don’t want to spend ten episodes of a series in the company of the same characters and a continuing storyline. In a world where attention spans seem to be getting shorter,Love, Death & Robotsis just what streaming needs.
