And promises that a few familiar faces will be in charge of Netflix’s most ambitious Marvel series to date.Douglas Petrie(Daredevil,Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marco Ramirez (Daredevil,Orange is the New Black) are set to return as showrunners to the Marvel Universe for the Netflix Original SeriesThe Defenders.
Another alum fromDaredevil, Oscar-nomineeDrew Goddard(The Martian,Lost,Alias), will alsojoin the teamas an Executive Producer. The Executive Producers and showrunners ofDaredevilSeason 2 will unite the Man Without Fear withJessica Jones,Luke Cage, andIron Fist.The Defendersis a mini-series event that brings these heroes together to face their biggest threat yet. The Defenderswill starCharlie Cox,Krysten Ritter,Mike Colter, andFinn Jones, all reprising their roles asDaredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, respectively. Douglas Petrie, Marco Ramirez, Drew Goddard, and Jeph Loeb will serve as Executive Producers onThe Defenders. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.
