Matt Reeves answered questions aboutThe Batman - Part IIwhile on the Red Carpet for The Golden Globes 2025, whereThe Penguinis nominated for several awards. The director was asked to give an update on the superhero sequel following several conflicting stories about its status, and Reeves was happy to reiterate his previous statement that the Robert Pattinson movie will be filming this year. Speaking to Deadline, he said:

“We will be shooting this year and are very excited about it. I cannot tell you anything else, but we are excited about it. We’re doing something that continues where the story came from and something I hope people are really surprised by.”
