Mayim Bialik Is Still Hosting Jeopardy!, But Still Has More Stories to Tell
Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik has been serving asone of two interim hosts forJeopardy!alongside Ken Jennings. She has remained committed to that job, as well as her Fox seriesCall Me Kat. Though this all keeps her very busy, Bialik still worked hard on her first film. She has also teased that there are more stories she has to tell as well, suggesting that we will be seeing more films fromThe Big Bang Theorystar in the years ahead.
“I’ll be honest, it has been the most bananas year of my life,” Bialik toldUSA Today. “When I signed on toJeopardy!, I was not signing on to be the syndicated host; I was doing specials. And then with everything that happened, that (position) ended up being something I was so honored to take on. But that was not part of the plan to be juggling two full-time jobs while editing a movie. We’re a very small-budget film, so it was really a skeleton crew and people had to work some Sundays I wish they didn’t have to. But I’m very appreciative of everybody coming together to get this film finished.
On her filmmaking future, Bialik added, “I have more stories to tell for sure, although I don’t know what that’s going to look like. I definitely felt like a lot of my quirks and my critical eye came in handy when I was directing. It was all the best parts of my neuroses and specificity and desire for perfectionism, like, ‘Oh, they’re actually useful for something when you direct a movie and not just annoying the people around you.'”
As They Made Uswill be available in theaters, on digital, and On Deman on April 8th, 2022. The official trailer comes to us from Quiver Distribution.
