Released courtesy ofthe streaming giant, the posters offer another look at the main cast of characters that will inhabitHeart of Stone, which follows theWonder Womanstar as she delves into the dangerous world of espionage to save the world from a mysterious weapon. Gal Gadot has high hopes forHeart of Stone, with theRed Noticestar hoping that the movie will launch a new,James Bond-esque action franchise. “I realized that there was an audience for a female action protagonist,” Gadot said recently. “I grew up watchingBond, andMission, andBourne. I wanted to create a really strong, female-driven action movie that is for everybody, not a male story that’s been done many times already.”
Netflix recently revealed another image and some footage ofGal Gadotas CIA Agent Rachel Stone, the lead of the upcoming spy thrillerHeart of Stone. Alongside the new image, the streaming service also confirmed a release date forHeart of Stone, with the action outing due to debut on Aug 09, 2025.
“She’s the only one standing between world peace and global destruction,” Netflix declares alongside an image of Gadot in the midst of what’s sure to be one of many major action sequences. The release date reveal forHeart of Stonecomes as part of #NetflixSaveTheDates, with the platform now confirming the release dates for several of its high-profile movies across 2023.
Specific plot details forHeart of Stoneare being kept under lock and key at present, but it has been revealed that Gadot will star as Rachel Stone, a CIA agent and the only person standing between her powerful, global, peace-keeping organization and the loss of its most valuable — and dangerous — asset.
