Are you ready to see some serious mutant action on the small screen? Then you’re in luck because Fox is bringing the world of theX-Mento TV this fall with their seriesThe Gifted. They decided unleash the show at San Diego Comic-Con this year, and it did not disappoint. They debuted a brand new trailer and it is absolutely action-packed and full of mutants. Luckily, you don’t need to be at SDCC to enjoy it as Fox has released the trailer online.

TheMarvel EntertainmentYouTube channel dropped the trailer forThe Giftedonline just after it debuted at San Diego Comic-Con. This is much longer than the first trailer for the series and has director Bryan Singer’s DNA all over it. Having the man who directed fourX-Menmovies direct the first episode ofThe Giftedlooks like it really paid off. The series is set to debut on October 2 on Fox and if you weren’t looking forward to it already, this trailer definitely might do the trick.

In the video, we seeReed Strucker and Caitlin Struckerdestroying a gym at their school after Reed loses control of his powers. The trailer then cuts to some family drama and eventually brings us the introduction of Thunderbird, Polaris, Eclipse and Blink, looking like they wereripped from pages of the X-Men comics. Blink has become a fan-favorite over the years, so seeing her in this trailer forThe Gifted, and using her powers quite a bit, should make fans quite happy. There is a whole lot of big action set pieces featured in this trailer and it looks like Fox is not messing around. They want this to feel like an authentic thing in theX-Menuniverse. It’s still a little unclear how this fits into the overall timeline, though. This also doesn’t look like it will be quite as unique as something likeLegion, but it does seem to fall right in line with what people expect from anX-Menmovie. Just with a more human angle to it.

The Giftedcenters on a suburban couple, Reed and Caitlin Strucker, whose lives are shaken up by the sudden discovery that their children, Lauren and Andy Strucker, possess mutant powers. Very strong mutant powers at that. They are then forced to go on the run from a hostile government, as Reed Strucker is actually a man who rounds up mutants for the government. Or was, prior to discovering that his own children are mutants. The family joins up with an underground network of mutants and have to fight for their own survival.

As far as principal cast members go,The Giftedstars Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Percy Hynes White, Sean Teale, Blair Redford, Jamie Chung,Emma Dumontand Natalie Alyn Lind.
