Two stars from the hottest summer TV series, Netflix’sStranger Things, teased new details about the highly-anticipated second season at New York Comic Con today.Millie Bobby Brown(Eleven) andDavid Harbour(Sheriff Jim Hopper) were present during an NYCC panel, with both sharing stories from the set, while teasing thatStranger Things Season 2will be “insane.”

During the NYCC panel (viaVanity Fair),David Harbourrevealed that he recently received the first few scripts for the new season, teasing, “It’s insane.” He added that the second season may shed some light on Hopper’s late daughter, who we learned in Season 1 died from cancer, and further explore the love triangle between Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Steve (Joe Keery) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton).David Harbouralso confirmed that the beloved character Barb (Shannon Purser) is in fact dead, and won’t be returning. Several fans at the NYCC panel were seen holding signs that said “Justice for Barb,” butDavid Harboursaid this.

“I can assure you that Barb is very much dead. (Season 2 will) deal with the loose ends (in Barb’s story).”

As forMillie Bobby Brown’sEleven, she still hasn’t been confirmed to return in Season 2 quite yet, although most of her co-stars have been set to come back. At the end of Season 1, Hopper was seen delivering some Eggos to Eleven, and since they were paired together at NYCC, one fan was so bold as to ask what it would be like if Hopper actually adopted Eleven, a story line has not been confirmed. Here’s whatDavid Harbourhad to say below.

“There would be a rich emotional arc there that I would like to explore…”

Since neither actor could say too much about the second season, they shared plenty of stories from the set during their NYCC panel. The nefarious monster from the Upside Down known as theDemogorgonwas hardly that scary in person.David Harbourshared that he mostly saw the actor who played the Demogorgon,Mark Steger, standing in front of numerous fans, trying to air out his suit.Millie Bobby Brownadded that the suit became so much of a “sensory-deprivation chamber,” that he couldn’t feel anything inside the suit, and his cues came from someone actually pinching his feet.David Harbouralso added that he doesn’t “do theJared Letostuff,” referring to the actor’s method acting ways where he would never leave character while shootingSuicide Squad.

The actor also added that he took inspiration fromHarrison FordinIndiana JonesandJack NicholsoninFive Easy Pieces, guys who he said are “less put together and handsome, and more beat up,” adding that the best and worst parts of his job are, “Going to these dark places.“Millie Bobby Brownalso spoke about the first table read, which happened just after she shaved her head for the first time.

“All I said was, ‘no,’ ‘yes,’ ‘Papa,’ ‘yeah.'”

Millie Bobby Brownadded that, “She’s gotta talk more”, although she wouldn’t elaborate on whether or not that meant for the second season or not. The actress also revealed that it was difficult getting into the 1980s mindset, adding that she asked why the characters don’t just call Will (Noah Schnapp) on his cell phone. BothDavid HarbourandMillie Bobby Brownexpressed their admiration for co-starWinona Ryder, withDavid Harbourstating that he “fell in love with her during a five-hour dinner with the actress and series creatorsMatt DufferandRoss Duffer.“David Harboursaid he was “a total fanboy” of hers from the 1980s, which hasn’t “worn off” yet, calling her a “lovely, smart, fiercely intelligent woman.“Millie Bobby Brownalso admiredWinona Ryder, calling her a “human encyclopedia,” adding that he also connected to her because of her shorter hair. Netflix hasn’t announced exactly whenStranger ThingsSeason 2 will debut, but hopefully we’ll find out more soon.
