It didn’t matter if it was on the TV showSiskel & Ebert, with fellow critic Gene Siskel, or reviewing in print material, Ebert famously looked down on most horror movies. Only a handful of scary films made his Great Movies list (according to his website there are only 16), and a four-star rating was not common....

Paramount has released a new featurette and teaser forA Quiet Place 2. Additionally, the studio has also unveiled 3 new international posters for the upcoming horror thriller. We’ve been treated to a decent amount of footage from the sequel over the past several weeks, but the new teaser may be the most intense yet. We see more of the alien creatures as they hunt for humans, along with more survivors. But, there also seems to be something more sinister waiting just beneath the surface that may not have to do with the aliens at all....

Michael Cusack’sYOLOseries has had quite a history. Originally starting asa pair of web shorts, the Australian adventures of the party girls Rachel and Sarah would subsequently hit television in the form ofYOLO: Crystal Fantasy. The brief Adult Swim series introduced Cusack’s off-beat humor to a mass audience, where it was a moderate critical success. Sad news to report this morning.Afeni Shakur Davis, mother of iconic rapperTupac Shakur, has died at the age of 69. The woman reportedlypassed awayafter suffering from cardiac arrest. Afeni was pronounceddeadin Marin County, California on Monday night according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Department. At 9:34 p.m. last night, officers responded to a call about a possible cardiac arrest.Afeni Shakur Daviswas picked up at her home. She was then transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead at 10:28 pm....
