When an animated property makesthe shift to live-action, it’s always interesting to see which actors will take on certain characters. Legendary magician and actorRicky Jayhas passed away. He was 72-years old. Jaydiedat his home in Los Angeles on Saturday from natural causes. Ricky has been hailed as one of the greatest sleight of hand artists of all time, and was known for his crazy card and memory tricks. He was listed at one time in the Guinness Book of Records for throwing a playing card 190 feet at 90 miles per hour....

Taron Egerton did an amazing job as Elton John inRocketman. The glitz and glam, the powerful voice, the songwriting are all there and represented along with all of the excess. However, it’s when Egerton goes deeper and takes viewers into John’s private hell of cocaine and alcohol addiction that things start to open up and go further. Years of drug and alcohol abuse landed the rocker in rehab, where he is just a normal person, not a rich rock star with everything going for him....

John Carpenter gets behind the camera for the first time in 7 years with his new music video for theChristinetheme, which is included in the upcoming compilation album entitled Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998. Carpenter has been in the news a lot lately with new projects coming down the line from directing a new television pilot with David Hayter (X-Men) to reportedly expressing interest in scoring the upcomingHalloweenremake. In addition, Sacred Bones Records is putting out Carpenter’s “greatest hits” in October, which he will tour behind later that month for a few select US dates....

With exactly two weeks left untilAvengers: Infinity Warhits theaters, three new posters have been unveiled to get fans ready for this superhero smash hit. The posters come courtesy ofIMAX, RealD and Dolby, which feature several of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes together. The IMAX poster, however, featuring just the IMAX logo, with the massive Infinity Gauntlet wielded by Thanos (Josh Brolin) underneath about to crush it. TheRealD 3Dposter also features the Infinity Gauntlet, although it’s shown on Thanos' fist, who looms over the rest of the Avengers....
