Paris Jackson Can Next Be Seen in Hulu’s Teen Comedy Sex Appeal

Next up for Jackson, Hulu’s coming-of-age teen comedySex Appeal, written by Tate Hanyok and directed by Talia Osteen. The movie is about a brainy high schooler, played by Mika Abdalla, who wants to take her relationship with her long-distance boyfriend, played by Jake Short, to the next level at a STEM conference. Jackson plays Danica, a classmate who isn’t afraid of female sexuality and is known by her other classmates as being sexually experienced.

Now, Jackson has her dreams set on doing a Marvel Studios movie. “I want to be a superhero or a supervillain,” she toldVariety. “I grew up reading the comics with my brothers. Every time a new Marvel film comes out, we go as a family to watch it. … They haven’t let anyone down since 2009.”

She told Variety her favorite Marvel characters were Wolverine, Iron Man and Deadpool. “They do what’s right, but they don’t do it by the book," Jackson said. “And they have a snarkiness to them, which I love.”

Jackson prefers the MCU over the DC Extended Universe, but ultimately, she is a fan of both comic book franchises. “I don’t think it’s either one or the other. I just think that they’re different,” Jackson said. “I don’t think one is like necessarily better than the other. Marvel is what I grew up on. It’s like comparing the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. They’re very different.”

Paris Jackson appears next in the Hulu teen comedy filmSex Appeal, which arrives on the streaming platform in the US on June 16, 2025.
