Weaving together the stories of Special Agent Richard DesLauriers (Kevin Bacon), Police Commissioner Ed Davis (John Goodman), Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese (J.K. Simmons) and nurse Carol Saunders (Michelle Monaghan) this visceral and unflinching chronicle captures the suspense of one of the most sophisticated manhunts in law enforcement history and celebrates the strength of the people of Boston.

The movie is produced by Scott Stuber, Mark Wahlberg, Hutch Parker, Dylan Clark, Stephen Levinson, Dorothy Aufiero and Michael Radutzky. As recently reported, Academy & Grammy Award-winnersTrent Reznor and Atticus Ross(The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl) will compose the score for the film.
The Patriots Day Charity Challenge is afundraisingcompetition to support the survivors of the Boston Marathon. CBS Films and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) announced the Patriots Day Charity Challenge earlier in the year, a nonprofit initiative that will empower people across the country to honor select first responders, medical professionals and survivors of the 2013Boston Marathon bombing.
