ThePokémonuniverse is expanding thanks to Netflix withPokémon Concierge, a stop-motion series that premieres on December 28 on the streaming platform.Pokémonis, of course, a popular Japanese franchise that began in 1996 as an RPG video game, and expanded into different media over time, including card games, television series, movies, and much more.Pokémonbecame hugely popular in 1997 when the anime adaptation premiered, a story that has traveled around the world and conquered all types of audiences.
Announced earlier this year, shortly after the franchiseended its main sagawith the lead character Ash becoming a Pokémon Master,Pokémon Conciergeseeks to revive the love for the small creatures created by Satoshi Tajiri with a different, innovative, tender and fun adventure. Pokémon Conciergefollows the story of Haru, the concierge of a very special resort where Pokémon go to rest. The series focuses on Haru’s interactions with hotel guests and what he learns from each of them. Check out the official synopsis:
“Expanding the Pokémon world, the story follows Haru, a concierge at the Pokémon Resort, and her interactions with Pokémon and their owners who visit as guests.”

Pokémon Conciergestars Karen Fukuhara as Haru, Imani Hakim as Alisa, Josh Keaton as Tyler, and Lori Alan as Watanabe. The series is directed by Iku Ogawa, based on a script written by Harumi Doki, while the character’s design was in charge of Tadahiro Uesugi with animation by dwarf studios.

After the success of the first film,a sequel was announced, but due to the pandemic, Reynolds' busy schedule and the delays caused by the strikes in Hollywood, Warner Bros. and Legendary have not been able to move forward with production, but earlier this year it was confirmed that it is still in development.
