Ryan Reynoldshas teased imminent updates regarding the highly anticipated comic book movie sequel,Deadpool 3. In an interview withCollider, Reynolds was not able to give much away about the project but stated that there would be a “batch” of updates coming soon.
“We pretty much talk about everything, but I’ll say this about that particular subject is I’ll have a batch of updates on that sooner rather than later, I hope. So I’ll be able to get into stuff about Deadpool a little bit more clearly and definitively down the road.”

Almost nothing is known about what directionDeadpool 3will take, as the character no doubt enters theMarvel Cinematic Universe…somehow. The sequel will of course bring back Ryan Reynolds as the title character, a role he has proven time and again that he was born to play ever since his debut in 2016’sDeadpool. The threequel is currently being written byBob’s Burgersduo Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin, with Deadpool expected to take advantage of the madness of the multiverse and thus stand alongside the likes of Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Captain America.
Thanks to the Disney/Fox merger,Deadpoolwill now be under the watchful eye of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who has recently provided an update on the development ofDeadpool 3. “The script is in the works,” he said last year. “And Ryan is working very hard on it with our writers as we speak.”
