She-Hulk: Attorney at Lawis nearing its Aug 18 Disney+ release, and the courtroom comedy is paying tribute to one of the longest-running series of all time.Law & Orderhas been on the air for 22 seasons, surpassing 450 episodes since its debut in 1990. So it would only be right for the upcoming MCU series to give the nod to a fellow show focused on the legal system within the United States.

She-Hulkfollows Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered Hulk. The latest promo shares an intro withLaw & Order, saying, ‘In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the people are protected by two separate, yet equally important groups. The heroes who save them, and the attorneys who clean up their collateral damage. But only one can be both. This is her story.’ Check out the full promotional spoof below.

Jennifer Walters will surely meet a ton of wacky Marvel characters throughout the run ofShe-Hulk, which is part of the intrigue for Marvel Studios president Keven Feige. ‘What’s fun is the types of characters that come to her for legal advice.’ In this trailer, we see interactions with Wong, Abomination, and her eventual nemesis, Titania. We already know Charlie Cox is returning to reprise his role as Daredevil/Matt Murdock in the series, and there are sure to be a few surprise cameos along the way withShe-Hulk.

Tatiana Maslany Says Her Character is Having an Identity Crisis

Switching between a regular attorney and a massive Hulk superhero is sure to leave anyone with some psychological issues, and actress Tatiana Maslany believes her character is dealing with an identity crisis.The Hollywood Reporterrecorded her thoughts at the 2022 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, where she revealed what Jennifer Walters is going through.

“Jen has had her life planned out for her and has worked really hard to get to where she is as a lawyer. And to have this thing happen to her that sort of derails everything, it is a bit of an identity crisis. And what I find really compelling about the story is when she’s She-Hulk she’s treated very differently than when she’s Jen.”

Although Marvel hascontinuously describedShe-Hulkas a comedy, it will be interesting to see their character-driven route in the story. In addition, Jennifer Walters will have a lot of inner struggles with herself and the changes she’s making, which could be an interesting angle to dissect in the series.

The nine-episode series arrives on Aug 18, with long-time MCU star Mark Ruffalo uniting with the Marvel rookie actress. The pair are joined by Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, Charlie Cox, Ginger Gonzaga, and Jameela Jamil in the newest MCU project to reach Disney+.
