It’s been nearly two years sinceStar Trek: Strange New Worldsgraced our TV screens over onParamount+, but we’re finally a little closer to knowing when Season 3 will make its long-awaited premiere. Taking place a decade beforeStar Trek: The Original Series,Strange New Worldsfollows Captain Pike and the crew of the Enterprise in the 23rd century as they explore new worlds and carry out missions throughout the galaxy.
Per Comicbook.com,Star Trek: Strange New WorldsSeason 3will make its premiere on Saturday, June 14th, but the catch is that it will only be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. Tickets for the annual event that began in 2002 go on sale April 29, and following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with creators Alex Kurtzman and Akiva Goldsman, as well as several of the show’s stars, including Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, Celia Rose Gooding, and Carol Kane.

Sadly, we still don’t know whenStrange New WorldsSeason 3 will make its Paramount+ debut, though there are some that say it could come as early as a week after the Tribeca premiere on Thursday, June 19. The first season premiered in May 2022, and the second in June 2023, so that would line up with what’s been done in the past. Paramount has always maintained that it will have a summer premiere date, so hopefully we don’t have to wait too much longer for it to be released into the wild.

‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Has Been a Big Hit So Far
Thus far,Star Trek: Strange New Worldshas managed to impress fans and critics, as the series holds an overall rating on Rotten Tomatoes of 98%, with its Popcornmeter sitting at a healthy 79%. Season 1 is the highest rated of the pair at 99%, while Season 2 is not far behind at 97%. “Unlike its contemporaries, the all-new adventures of the Enterprise (still the greatest starship ever) actually felt likeStar Trek: a fun, if derivative,cousin toThe Original Series,” said Iain Robertson from Starburst in their review. Maggie Lovitt from Millennial Falcon Reviews echoed those same sentiments, adding:
“Strange New Worlds is set up to return to a more serialized style of storytelling, ushering in rich, nuanced looks at each of its characters and helping them to unpack the baggage that old wounds—and future tragedies—has forced them to carry.”

Like the previous two seasons,Strange New Worldswill also have 10 episodes in total, and new cast members this year include Rhys Darby, Cillian O’Sullivan, and Patton Oswalt. While it remains to be seen just who the central villain of the new season will be, it promises to be another action-packed entry in the long-running franchise that’s wrought with intrigue:

Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike (Anson Mount), as they face the conclusion of season two’s harrowing encounter with the Gorn.
