As fans eagerly await theStar WarsBattlefront video game’s release on November 17, Sony Playstation is getting everyone ready by debuting a new trailer that brings the action right into our world. The 60-second trailer shows an office worker reminiscing about his fondStar Warsmemories, when R2-D2’sX-Wingpays him a visit at the office, transporting straight him into battle. While this video is heavy on nostalgia, which will surely have fans thinking back to their favoriteStar Warsmoments, we also get a sneak peek at the Battle of Hoth level in the game.
Star Wars: Battlefrontwas first unveiled during theD23 Expoin April, where fans got to see the first trailer. It has already been confirmed that thisvideo gamewill lead intoStar Wars: The Force Awakens, showcasing the Battle of Jakku, a desert planet that will be featured in the highly-anticipated movie. The second trailer released in April showcased a massive Imperial Star Destroyer crashed in the Jakku desert, and this video game level will show how that happened, serving as a direct prequel to the movie.
Combining an unprecedented collaboration with Lucasfilm and the award-winning Frostbite game engine,Star WarsBattlefront will deliver an incredibly authentic and immersive interactive entertainment experience featuring photorealistic visuals and epic action in iconicStar Warslocations.Star WarsBattlefront will allow fans to live out a wide range of heroic moments and intense battle fantasies of their own - firing blasters, riding speeder bikes and snow speeders, commanding AT-ATs and piloting TIE fighters and the Millennium Falcon. Star WarsBattlefront will feature a wide range of modes tailored for different types of battles, from larger 40-person competitive multiplayer to crafted missions that are played solo, with a friend via split-screen offline or co-operatively online. Fans who pre-orderStar WarsBattlefront will be among the first players to experience the Battle of Jakku, the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet on the Outer Rim. Taking place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players will experience the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown inStar Wars: The Force Awakens. Players who pre-orderStar WarsBattlefront can fight the battle one-week early starting on June 11, 2025. All other players will get access to this free content on August 25, 2025.
The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC formats starting November 17, which will surely make this game one of the hottest items during the Christmas shopping season.
