Tubihas become a fan-favorite streaming service, thanks to its free-to-stream approach and carrying that allure of a video store with a massive collection of mainstream, low-budget, and obscure titles. Yet, the streaming service did not stop at just acquiring a plethora of titles; it has also produced and acquired some pretty wild original films.
Tubihas gotten into thehorror genrebig time. Horror fans have become a significant demographic, with a substantial back catalog of forgotten horror movies. In return, they have often overlooked many of the original films available on their platform within the genre. Some argue that they feel like theSyFy original moviesof the past, and yes, some fit that bill, butTubihas given their customers some really fun and highly respected films as of late, so let’s see which ones are the best as of right now.

15’Please Don’t Feed the Children' (2024)
Set in a post-apocalyptic world where a disease has wiped out most of the adult population, the blame has been shifted to children, who have become the target of mobs and authorities. Please Don’t Feed the Childrenfollows six kids dealing with prejudice and trying to find a safe place to live.Yet, after an accident at a gas station occurs, they seek a remote home for shelter where they meet the welcoming Clara. Soon after they arrive, though, they learn that Clara has other plans for them.
Zombies are just the Start of the Horror Befalling a Band of Kids
The debut movie from the daughter of Steven Spielberg, Destry Allyn Spielberg’s Please Don’t Feed the Children, may not have the same cinematic polish or grandeur. Still, it is an intriguing entry into the zombie genre and fits nicely amongTubi’s collection of undead horrors. A well-acted piece of horror with twists and turns throughout, the movie stays engaging until its climax, which is wonderfully chaotic.
14’Sorry, Charlie' (2023)

While the authorities claim to have caught the masked killer, dubbed “The Gentlemen” by the media, due to his dapper attire, Charlie believes he is still out there. When she starts to receive a series of cryptic calls, her suspicions are all but confirmed.
The Killer is on the Other Line
An entertaining cat and mouse game with a fun twist,Sorry, Charlieis indie horror at its best. For what is essentially a single-location person film, actor Kathleen Kenny does a spectacular job of conveying the horror and vulnerability as Charlie.Sorry, Charliealso delivers tense, atmospheric horror, leading up to its showdown, which is ideal for those who love a slow-burn.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world where a virus has wiped out much of humanity, a team of mercenaries is sent into an area known as a ‘dead zone’, having been previously bombed out, to try to stop the spread. Their mission is to retrieve a vaccine for the virus, which is rumored to cure the disease that turns humans into violent zombies.
Going to War with the Zombie Hordes
Let’s admit it,sometimes you just want to have some dumb fun with a silly movie where you may turn your mind off and indulge.Dead Zoneis rough around the edges, and it is a bit too slow-paced for a zombie survival/sci-fi action flick with mercenaries as the protagonists.Still, there are a lot of small moments of B-movie madness to love here, andMichael Jai White in the lead rolewill always be a reason to check out a film.
12’The Final Rose' (2022)
A young, single mother, Jess, is looking for love and a new life, deciding to try an unorthodox approach by joining a reality TV show called “Love at Last,” where she will have to compete for the heart of a bachelor. Yet when contestants start getting killed off one by one, and the show attempts to push forward regardless, Jess steps into the role of both investigator and protector of the other women and crew stuck on set.
Looking for Love but Finding Death
A dark satire that pokes fun at drama-heavy reality TV, merging with slasher horror, really is the perfect pairing. Taking on the best elements of both genres,The Final Rosefinds that balance of comedy and terror, with the humor consistent and punchy and the violence aptly bloody. At the same time, the production knows not to go too silly, and Christina Masterson as Jess acts as a constant and endearing voice of sanity.
11’Slay' (2024)
Four drag queens end up taking an unlikely gig when they find themselves at a remote biker bar called The Bold Buck. After meeting the welcoming owner and a few superfans, the four decide the show must go on and begin to perform. “Slay Queen” Takes on a New Meaning
CastingRuPaul’s Drag Racestars in the leading roles is not the only thing that this horror-comedy has going for it, nor should it limit fans of the genre from checkingSlayout.A smartly written vampire flick with a humorous bite,Slaycan be enjoyed by anyone; the inclusion of drag will just be the cherry on top for fans of the art. The movie also carries a pretty uplifting message about accepting yourself for who you are amid the chaos of vampire attacks.
10’Terror Train' (2022)
In this remake of the 1980 slasher starring Jamie Lee Curtis,Terror Trainis about a group of college seniors who hop on board a Halloween-themed train for a fun time and end up becoming prey to a killer in a clown mask. Chaos ensues as everyone is pretty much in a mask, so finding the killer may be kind of tough.
Ignore the Rotten Tomatoes Score!
At a whopping 8% on Rotten Tomatoes,Terror Trainmay feel like an unworthy remake of the source material. Oh well, get over it. There may be a few bad Rotten Tomato scores on this list; why should that stop you?Terror Trainmakes for a nice double feature with the 1980 version, as it is almost the same film, beat for beat, but their endings kind of differ. The clown mask is a bit cheap, but there is no formula trying to be rewritten or broken; just turn your brain off and enjoy.
9’Titanic 666' (2022)

Titanic 666 Is What You Think It Is
Just hearing the plot of this movie should make you stop what you’re doing, go home, and put onTubi. It’s a wild concept for a film, and it knows it is.Titanic 666was one of the bigger-scale films released after Fox purchased Tubi. Yes, this was released by the well-known B-movie production house, The Asylum. The special effects are fun, the plot line lives up to the hype, and the acting is mid-level at best, butTitanic 666is one of the coolest titles you’ll ever hear, so go see it.
8’Tow' (2022)

They think they have some closure due to the killer’s execution; however, their minds are still plagued by him, leading the killer to re-enter their lives.
Kane Hodder Back to Being Bad
Kane Hodder gave us the image we know today of Jason Voorhees in theFriday the 13thfranchise: a big, hulking, machete-wielding zombie in a hockey mask. He would then do the same in Adam Green’sHatchetseries as Victor Crowley.Kane Hodder suits up as the killer “The Mechanic,” and while Tow may not hit as well as the previous ones mentioned, it’s good to see he’s still got it as the ultimate boogeyman.
7’Requiem for a Scream' (2022)
Requiem for a Screamis a fun slasher about a killer who is trying to use the screams of his victims to create his own little piece of art. The killer, named Caleb, roams the halls of an old cabin where a group of teenagers is hanging out, doing drugs, and watchingNight of the Living Dead, waiting to pick them all off one by one.
Run of the Mill Fun Slasher
Requiem for a Screamaims to transcend the typical slasher film genre. It has a villain with some depth to him, and they have a cool mask too.The killer is trying to create an opus of music where he uses the screams of his victims. If anything, watch this slasher for that; it does feel like a nice callback to ’80s slashers trying to be edgy and new to the market of horror films. The effort is there; the execution is up to you to decide, but most horror fans may find this kind of neat.
6’Trap House' (2023)
Trap Housetakes the slang term for a place where drugs are sold and turns it into a torture chamber. It follows a police detective whose drug-addicted brother is murdered in one, and he learns it wasn’t the drugs that killed him; it was an actual trap set up by the people who run the place.
Why Didn’t the ‘Saw’ Creators Think of This?
IfTrap Housecame out in the ’70s,it may have been a blaxploitation film, but since we are in the 2020s now, you wonder why the producers of theSawfranchise didn’t think of something like this, either, as the film feels like a fusion of the two at times. The kills are great, the writing not so much, but keep your eyes peeled among the cast. Acclaimed genre film director Gigi Guerrero pops up in the menacing role of Lexi.Trap Houseis a fun concept that stands out from the pack in terms ofTubioriginals.
