The CW Network announced itsFall 2017 premiere datestoday, as the network’s entire primetime line-up will debut during the week of Monday, October 9. Before the network’s new narrative line-up debuts, though, The CW will once again kick off its fall season with the exclusive telecast of the IHeartRadio Music Festival, airing over two nights Wednesday, October 4 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT) and Friday, October 6 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT). Joining the network’s fall lineup are two new shows this season,DynastyandValor, with two more new shows,Black LightningandLife Sentencebeing held for a midseason debut, along with returning favoritesThe 100,iZombieandThe Originals.
On Monday, October 9,Supergirlis back (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT) onThe CW, followed by the thrilling new dramaValor(9:00-10:00pm ET/PT).Valorstars Christine Ochoa and Matt Barr as Nora Madani and Leland Gallo, two elite U.S. Army helicopter pilots who were the only two to survive a deadly mission to Somalia. They discover that a third pilot, Jimmy Kam (W. Tre Davis), whose whereabouts were unknown, is in fact alive, and being held by a terrorist group. Nora and Leland prepare to go back to Somalia and rescue their comrade, while trying to hide the truth about what really happened. The cast also includes Corbin Reid as Jess Kam, Jimmy’s wife, Melissa Roxburgh as Thea, the CIA officer investigating the incident and Nigel Thatch as Col. Robert Haskins, leader of Nora and Leland’s unit known as the Shadow Rangers.
The Flashraces back for its fourth season Tuesday, October 10 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), followed by the third season premiere ofDC’S Legends of Tomorrow(9:00-10:00pm ET/PT). In the second season ofThe Flash, when Barry used his extraordinary abilities to travel back in time and save his mother’s life, he inadvertently created an alternate timeline known asFlashpoint; a phenomenon that gave birth to the villainous speed god known as Savitar, and changed the lives of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Wally West (Keiyan Lonsdale) forever. No story details have been released for Season 4 yet, nor for Season 3 ofLegends of Tomorrow, but we’ll likely find out much more when both shows will presumably return to Comic-Con next month for their annual panels.
Riverdalereturns on its new night Wednesday, October 11 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), followed by the delicious high drama of the all newDynasty(9:00-10:00pm ET/PT).Riverdaledebuted in the Thursday 9 PM time slot, behindSupernaturalat 8 PM, but this season,Riverdaleand the hit superhero seriesArrowwill swap timeslots, withArrowmoving to Thursday at 9 PM, behindSupernaturalat 8 PM, which both premiere on Thursday, October 12. It’s possible this lineup will shuffle once again, when the network’s fifth DC series,Black Lightningdebuts in midseason, but that has yet to be confirmed.
The CW’s fall premiere week wraps up on Friday, October 13, with The CW’s Golden Globe winnersCrazy Ex-Girlfriend(8:00-9:00PM ET/PT) andJane the Virgin(9:00-10:00pm ET/PT) debuting their season premieres back-to-back. As for midseason shows such as newcomersBlack LightningandLife Sentence, along with returning favoritesThe 100,iZombieandThe Originals, fans won’t likely know when they will return for many months.
