Dwayne “The Rock” Johnsonhas been feeling rather generous lately, and his latest big gift was bestowed upon his mother for Christmas. Online, Johnson shared a video revealing the reaction of his mother, Ata Johnson, when she saw what was awaiting her in the driveway, complete with a giant bow on the windshield.
“This one felt good,” Johnson writes in the caption onInstagram. “Surprised my mom with a new car for Christmas today. She was shocked. She got a few good ugly cries in. Then once her grand babies joined her inside the car. She was overcome with pure joy joy. Hell, even Hobbs, my dog wanted to peep the whip with his new Christmas chicken. I’m so grateful I can do this kinda stuff for my mom, who’s had one helluva life. I don’t take any of it for granted. Neither does she. Merry Christmas ma, enjoy your new ride!!! And your Elvis records. We love you. You deserve a lot more.”
In the video, Ata is overcome with emotion, overjoyed to receive the car. The Rock also included some photos of his mom taking a seat in the car for the first time. It’s a fun and touching video of Dwayne Johnson feeling generous when it comes to this kind of thing once again. Just recently, he gave his custom truck to a veteran attending aRed Noticescreening after hearing his story. The Rock alsogave an old friend a Ford F-150 truckaround this time last year.
In 2018,always-generous Johnsonalso surprised his mother with another extravagant gift. He shared a video of Ata opening up a “Golden Ticket,” a prize allowing her to “choose any home she wants” wherever she wanted it.
“This one felt good. Surprise! Bought my mom a new home for Christmas,” said The Rock at the time, signing the post as Dwanta Claus. “All our lives growing up we lived in little apartments all across the country. Lived like gypsies on the road from one state to another. The first home my parents ever lived in was the one I bought for them in 1999. They divorced about 5yrs later and as with life, stuff happens and things got a little complicated. Since then I always made sure my mom and dad have everything they’ll ever need - houses, cars etc.”
He added, “I always say, if you got a good mama, then you gotta pretty good shot at becoming a decent human being. And somehow, somewhere along the line I became one lucky SOB to be able to make stuff like this happen. Merry Christmas Ma and WOOOHOOO enjoy your new home.”
Ata Johnson is certainly lucky to have a son like The Rock. As for what’s next for the Hollywood superstar when it comes to acting, fans can look forward to seeing him enter the DCEU as the titular anti-hero inBlack Adam.
