Written and directed by Malachi Smyth (Light of the World, Sentinel), the film follows a minimalistic short fiction format, with the majority of the action taking place in or around a particular setting.

The Scorerevolves around small-time crooks Mike (singerJohnny Flynn) and Troy (Will Poulter), who are off on a new gig that will presumably change their lives. As they wait for a rendezvous hand-over at a secluded roadside cafe, Troy ends up smitten by the waitress Gloria (Naomi Ackie). As his feeling for her grow stronger and more sure, he starts questioning his life choices so far, while his real threat inches closer by the minute.
