Not long after Valkyrie’s new costume forThor: Love and Thunderwas revealed, we now have our best look at yet at the latest outfits for both Thor himself and Jane Foster’s The Mighty Thor. The character’s newest duds have been unveiled courtesy of Twitter userMultiverso Marvel Brasil, and show off superhero pair’s surprisingly colorful new armor, as well as the weapons they will be wielding in the upcomingMarvelsequel.

These images are by far the best look yet at Jane Foster’s return, with the character due to pick up Mjölnir and thus be transformed intoThe Mighty Thor. Foster will once again be played byThorandThor: The Dark WorldstarNatalie Portman, who has previously commented on her character’s exciting comeback. The actress has since teased her role as The Mighty Thor, revealing that she will share the screen with Chris Hemsworth’s God of (love and) Thunder saying, “There’s still the other Thor - the original Thor.”

Thor: Love and Thunder

Taking up theThormantle as well as standing next to Hemsworth has resulted in Portman having to train harder than she ever has before to sell her new superhero role. “I worked with a trainer, Naomi Pendergast, for, I think it was, four months before shooting, and then obviously all the way through filming,” she said. “We did a lot of weight training and a lot of protein shakes — heavyweight training that I haven’t ever done before.”

This level of training, something which seems to be required of every actor who wishes to join the pantheon of Marvel heroes, actually helped Portman bring The Mighty Thor to life. “It definitely helps you get into character, and it’s definitely changed the way I move,” she explained. “You walk differently; you feel different. I mean, it’s so wild to feel strong for the first time in my life.”

While details of Jane Foster’s return remain something of a mystery,Thor: Love and Thunderwill likely take inspiration from The Mighty Thor comic book run written by Jason Aaron with artwork from Russell Dauterman. The story sees Jane Foster suit up as the Asgardian hero while receiving treatment for breast cancer, with the power of Thor’s hammer both restoring her strength and stopping her cancer treatment from working, putting her in an impossible situation.

Along with Thor and The Mighty Thor and their vibrant new costumes,Thor: Love and Thunderwill also seeOscar winner Christian Bale join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the villainous Gorr the God Butcher.Born on a planet with no name, Gorr feels abandoned by the Gods, and bonds with a dark god’s sword, transforming into an amorphous mass of living darkness. Gorr’s hatred of the gods leads him on a revenge mission across time and space. Here’s hoping that the next piece of promo art will reveal Bale as Gorr in all his glory.

Directed by Taika Waititi, who has co-written the screenplay with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson,Thor: Love and Thunderis scheduled to be released on August 26, 2025, as part of Phase Four of theMCU.
