Marvel Rumor Says One Character Will Have Much More Screen Time in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ - and It Is So Obvious
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will have a lot of characters to squeeze in, but one will reportedly be on screen more than the others.
Thunderbolts*, which was retitled toThe New Avengersduring the film’s opening weekend, is led by a star-studded cast of longtime MCU actors and several new faces. The film features Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Hannah John-Kamen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer and Wendell Edward Pierce. Behind the scenes,Thunderbolts*was directed by Jake Schreier, whose lauded work on the film helped him land the coveted directing gig forMarvel Studios' upcomingX-Menreboot. Read the official synopsis:

In “Thunderbolts*,” Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes — Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker. After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite as something much more before it’s too late?
How Does ‘Thunderbolts*’ Fit in the MCU?
For the most part,Thunderbolts*works as a standalone entry in the MCU that proves recapturing the magic of theAvengersorGuardians of the Galaxyis still possible. However, the new team-up film has major implications for the overarching franchise moving forward. Not only did the film reframe the team asThe New Avengers, buteach main cast memberhas been confirmed forAvengers: Doomsday. The upcoming crossover event film is currently in production with the Russo Brothers back at the helm, with select New Avengers members already seen on set.
It seems the post-credits scene inThunderbolts*will lead to the titular squad getting involved with the battle against Doctor Doom. With the New Avengers fighting off a copyright claim by Captain America (Anthony Mackie), they’re standing as a superhero team in the MCU seems a little shaky. However, that won’t stop Yelena, Bucky, and the rest of the crew from getting in on the action inDoomsday. With them witnessing the Fantastic Four seemingly arriving in the main MCU timeline, expect the ragtag superhero team to play an important role moving forward.
