Between directorMichael Bay’s personal website and the social media channels forTransformers: The Last Knight, there have been a slew of updates from the set, whether it be photos introducing new characters, or videos featuring new scenes being shot. Ever since filming started last month,Michael Bayhas been sending out official photos of the new Autobots and Decepticons that will be featured in this sequel, and today we have another new vehicle reveal. The director gave us our first look at a new Decepticon known as Onslaught.
The photo debuted atMichaelBay.com, although the director wouldn’t reveal any further details about this character. Fans of the originalanimated seriesmay remember Onslaught as the leader of a group known as the Combaticons, who would all turn into the combined massive robot known as Bruticus. We don’t know for sure if the Combaticons or Bruticus will be featured in this new live-action story or not.

Last week, the officialTransformersfranchise Facebook page debuted a new video from the set, which featured a massivehighway explosion. Today we have yet another video, which isn’t quite as action-packed, but featuresMichael Bayin pursuit of the “perfect shot.” We can see the director watching the action from a truck equipped with cameras and monitors, but we can’t actually see the action itself. The director reveals that a crash has taken place, as we can hear a few unidentified characters trying to make it out of the unseen wreckage in once piece.
The Last Knightcenters on Optimus Prime, who has been searching through the cosmos for the Quintessons, the beings believed to be responsible for the creation of theTransformersrace. Meanwhile back on Earth,Wahlberg’s Cade Yeager will be facing a new alien threat that bringsJosh Duhamel’s Lennox andTyrese Gibson’s Epps back into duty.Isabela Monerhas signed on as the female lead, though no character details have been revealed. The supporting cast also includesJerod Carmichael,Laura HaddockandAnthony Hopkins, but we don’t know much about what characters they’re playing yet.

The team were part of Paramount’s writer’s room that generated several ideas forTransformerssequels and spinoffs. The studio has already announced aBumblebee spinoff, which is set to hit theaters on June 02, 2025. This movie will tell the never before heard origin of Bumblebee, although no specifics have been given.
