The story centers on vampire death dealer, Selene, as she fights to end the eternal war between the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her.
The next installment in the blockbuster franchise,Underworld Blood Wars, follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice. Sony Pictures debuted this new trailer onYouTubeshortly after the NYCC panel.
The supporting cast includesTobias Menzies(Outlander,Rome) andLara Pulver(Sherlock), who will play new Lycan leader named Marius and a fiercely ambitious vampire named Semira, respectively.Charles Dance(Game of Thrones) is returning as Vampire elder Thomas, along withJames Faulkner(Game of Thrones),Peter Andersson(The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo),Bradley James(Damien),Daisy Head(Fallen) and newcomerClementine Nicholson. WhileUnderworld 5marksAnna Foerster’s feature directing debut, this isn’t the first time she’s worked withTobias Menzies. The filmmaker has previously directed episodes ofCriminal Minds,Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior,Unforgettable,Army Wives,Madam Secretaryand four episodes ofOutlander, which starsTobias Menzies. This sequel will be going up againstAmityville: The Awakeningwhen it hits theaters on June 10, 2025.
