Topher Grace (Eric Forman)

The character is written out at the end of the seventh season, with Eric deciding he wants to become a teacher and travel to Africa; he reappears for the show’s series finale, though. Grace and editor Jeff Yorkes co-manage the Twitter accountLou’s Café, where they post their own edits of certain movies; they’re so good at this that Pixar commissioned them for aToy Story 4retrospective special in 2019. Laura Prepon (Donna Pinciotti)
Point Place’s resident redhead and favorite “girl next door,” Donna Pinciotti, was Eric Forman’s longtime girlfriend and was portrayed by the charismaticLaura Prepon. The character was known for being a head-strong and intelligent feminist tomboy with big dreams and aspirations and was dubbed “Hot Donna” at the town’s radio station, where she worked as a DJ. Prepon appeared throughout the show’s entire eight-season run and went on to find further success in thegroundbreaking Netflix seriesOrange is the New Black,playing the role of the problematic lesbian inmate Alex Vause.
The actress also had notable roles in popular shows such asOctober Road, How I Met Your Mother,andAre You There, Chelsea?Her movie credits includeLay the Favorite,The Kitchen,The Girl on the Train, andThe Hero. But fans will always see her as the iconic, headstrong Donna fromThat 70s ShowandThat ’90s Show.

Prepon is married to actor Ben Foster, and the pair have two children together. Far from acting, she enjoys posting easy cooking videos on her Instagram accountPreponKitchen.
Ashton Kutcher (Michael Kelso)
Michael Kelso is the dim-witted but lovable member of the group, who, for the first half of the series, is in a relationship with the superficial and spoiled Jackie (Mila Kunis). Kelso offers sidesplitting comedic relief through his dense but endearing antics and goes on to surprise his pals by becoming a police officer.
The actor who plays the character,Ashton Kutcher, left the show prior to the eighth and final season, as his big screen acting career (and theMTV showPunk’d) was truly taking off, as well as a slew of other projects. Kutcher and Kunis reconnected years after theThat ’70s Showfinale and ended up getting married in 2015. The star appeared in the smash hit rom-comWhat Happens in Vegas, Killers,andNo Strings Attachedand portrayed Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple, in the 2013 biographical dramaJobs.

Mila Kunis (Jackie Burkhart)
The dynamicMila Kunisstars as the pretty and spoiled Jackie Burkhart, the youngest member of the group who is often superficial and selfish but, as the series progresses, becomes more genuine and considerate. After Kelso repeatedly cheats on her, Jackie begins a long-term relationship with Steven Hyde, much to the dismay of the gang.

Danny Masterson (Steven Hyde)
Steven Hyde is Eric’s best friend and the anti-establishment member of the group. He has a direct and sarcastic sense of humor and an overall rebellious personality. Hyde is often the mastermind of the gang and is extremely street-smart, regularly providing advice for his friends. His main interests are rock music, pizza, and smoking weed.
Danny Mastersonstarred in all eight seasons ofThat ’70s Showand would go on to appear alongside his real-life wife Bijou Phillips in the 2009 dramaThe Bridge to Nowhere,in addition to roles in films likeYes Man, The Chicago 8,and the thrillerUrge.He also portrayed Milo Foster for three seasons in the TBS sitcomMen at Workand joined forces with close friend Ashton Kutcher for the Netflix dramedyThe Ranchas Rooster Bennett.
Masterson’s role in the series has been tainted following multiple sexual assault allegations that have been filed against him since 2017. In 2020, Masterson was arrested and charged in connection with four rape allegations. The actor is the only major cast member ofThat ’70s Shownot asked to return forThat ’90s Show. In May 2023, he was found guilty of two charges of rape. On August 22, 2025,Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison, with that being the soonest he is up for parole.
Wilmer Valderrama (Fez)
The hormonal foreign exchange student Fez has a particular sense of fashion, and his vague country of origin is one of the show’s longest-running gags. He loves candy and pornography and has a close friendship with Michael Kelso. Perpetually horny, he constantly flirts with the only girls in the group, Donna and Jackie.

Wilmer Valderramaportrayed the lovable oddball for all eight seasons and found further success when he voiced the characters of Manny in the children’s show Handy Manny, as well as Prince Philip Charming inCharming. She is the mother hen to all of her son’s friends and constantly aims to make her home a warm and inviting space. The esteemedDebra Jo Ruppstars as the kooky but kindhearted character and continued performing on stage when the show ended in 2006.

Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman)
The man who got creative with the many uses of both “an ass” and “foot,” Red Forman is the stern and short-tempered father of Eric and Laurie, and he constantly pushes his kids to do more with their lives.Kurtwood Smithperfectly portrays the grouchy yet secretly soft Red, who has gained notoriety as the entertaining combat veteran.

Don Stark (Bob Pinciotti)
The ridiculously dressed and good-natured Bob Pinciotti is Donna’s father and self-appointed best friend to the wary Red, often taking his buddy’s insults in a jolly manner. Bob is a notorious ladies' man and an inspiration to the guys in the gang.Don Starkcharmingly portrays the confident, sexist, and sensitive character and did so during all eight seasons of the successful show. SinceThat ’70s Show’s end, Stark has appeared in many films and television programs, includingSupernatural, Workshop,andRed Sleep.Healso starred as Oscar Kincade in the sports drama seriesHit the Floor.His other appearances include Netflix’sDollfaceand the crime TV miniseriesThree Way Mirror.
Tommy Chong (Leo Chingkwake)
Beloved stoner and one-half of the iconic comedy duo Cheech & Chong,Tommy Chongportrayed the lovable town hippie Leo, who owned the Photo Hut. He became close friends with Hyde after employing him at the Hut, but mostly because they both enjoy getting stoned. His laid-back attitude and fondness for all things reefer endeared him to both the gang and audiences. Chong disappeared from the series after season four, before returning for the seventh until the show’s end; the comedian was actually serving a brief jail sentence and was therefore forced to step away.

Lisa Robin Kelly (Laurie Forman)
Laurie Forman is Eric’s beautiful, loud, and mean-spirited older sister, who thoroughly enjoys torturing her little brother and teasing his group of friends. She’s often depicted as highly promiscuous and guy-crazy, providing comedic material to the sarcastic Eric, Hyde, and Donna. Throughout the course of the show,Lisa Robin Kellystruggled with addiction, and therefore, her character was written out midway through the third season to “attend beauty school.” The character did return but wasrecast with Christina Moore.
Kelly later admitted to ABC News that “withThat ’70s Show,I was guilty of a drinking problem, and I ran.” She returned briefly to the series in the fifth season but was ultimately replaced by Christina Moore in the subsequent season due to her drug and alcohol issues. Kelly passed away tragically young in 2013 from an accidental unspecified oral “multiple drug intoxication.”
Tanya Roberts (Midge Pinciotti)
The beautiful but dense Midge Pinciotti is the object of Eric and his pals’ fantasies. She’s Bob’s flighty wife and Donna’s well-meaning mother.Tanya RobertsleftThat ’70s Showafter the third season in 2001 because her husband had terminal cancer and returned to the series a few times as a special guest. Roberts retired from acting in 2005 but is known for her colorful and exciting roles in films like the James Bond flickA View to Kill, SheenaandThe Beastmaster,as well as for portraying Julie Rogers in the final season ofCharlie’s Angels.The gifted actress sadly passed awayat the age of 71 from a UTI on June 21, 2025.
Josh Meyers (Randy Pearson)
The good-looking, suave, and well-mannered character of Randy was introduced in the eighth and last season to fill in for Grace/Eric and Kutcher/Kelso. He was Donna’s love interest and was hired by Hyde to work at his father’s record store. Subsequently, he was immensely disliked by the show’s fans, despite actorJosh Meyersgiving a solid performance.

Katey Sagal (Edna Hyde)
The prolific actress and singerKatey Sagalguest starred on the show as Steven’s estranged and cynical mother, Edna, AKA Gross Edna. She was no newcomer to comedy, as she had previously played the lazy wife and mother Peggy Bundy on the long-runningMarried… With Children.
Sagal is practically television royalty, having later appeared in a variety of series. Her credits followingThat 70s Showinclude the voice of Turanga Leela inFuturama, Cate Hennessy in8 Simple Rules, Gemma Teller inSons of AnarchyandMayans M.C., Nora inTell Me Lies, Eleanor Hale inDead to Me, and Louise Conner inThe Conners.She also appeared in numerous films, namelyPitch Perfect 2,Bleed for This, andTorn Hearts. Sagal is married to filmmaker and actor Kurt Sutter.
Sagal has recently reprised her role as Leela in the relaunch ofFuturama, which is currently airing on Hulu, and continues to star on The Conners. She is certainly just as busy as ever.
