There’s over a year left until we see actorTom HollandasSpider-Manonce again. While new gossip aboutBrand New Day’s supposed villain lineup and storyline emerges daily, these reports only entertain fans for so long. As we all know, the movie will be a soft reboot for the friendly neighborhoodSpider-Man. That fact alone widens the number of stories that can be told. But for now, fans of the iconic Marvel character who have been patiently waiting will be glad to know that there’s an ongoing live-actionSpider-Manshow on YouTube.
Currently in pre-production for its third season, which is set to start filming in the fall, the fan series stars actor Tate Talley as Peter Parker, navigating a world full of friends and foes with fresh and satisfying creative twists. Suffice it to say, it might just be the definitiveSpider-Manstory you need to watch beforeSpider-Man: Brand New Dayswings into theaters in July 2026.

Yes, you read that right.Web of Spider-Man, available on the Infinity Entertainment YouTube channel, features five episodes in both its first and second seasons. This is quite a surprising feat for a fan-made production. While I initially coveredthe first seasontwo years ago (which featured new renditions of the Green Goblin, Black Cat, and others), Season 2 easily raises the stakes in numerous ways. Tate Talley once again naturally embodies Peter Parker and is now joined by series regular Martin Kamm, who plays Harry Osborn, Peter’s best friend. As for the more prominent faces in the cast this time around, Mackenna Shults, Jack Cross, and Kamran Amir play Mary Jane Watson, Daredevil, and Eddie Brock, respectively.
‘Web of Spider-Man’ Has a Brand New Season Before ‘Spider-Man 4’
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Beyond that, villains such as Otto Octavius, Wilson Fisk, Kraven, Chameleon, and Sin-Eater also play key roles. However, through their acting and dedication to the roles, they elevate this non-profit, fan-made web series to a whole new level. What’s surprising aboutWeb of Spider-Manis thelevel of detail put into the fight sequences. Although the overall budget is low for costume design and special effects, the choreography in the five episodes, each running approximately 40 minutes, rivals what is typically seen inDaredevil: Born Again.Whether it’s Spidey facing off against Sin-Eater in an alley in just the second episode or the climactic battle that sees him fighting Venom in the nave of a church, these sequences help pull you in.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Might Not Be What Fans Expect
The name of the Spider-Man film is drawn from a controversial comic storyline, but what does ‘Brand New Day’ mean for the MCU’s future?
Speaking of Eddie Brock, the character’s origin story is changed here, and possibly for the better. Instead of being a disgraced reporter at the Daily Globe, Eddie is a former soldier who is now dying and volunteers for a medical trial by none other than Octavius and Fisk. This involves being injected with Spider-Man’s DNA, but the host’s system doesn’t mix well with the new blood, and thus, the symbiote is born.

The on-screen impact of the character wouldn’t be the same without Amir. He not only playsa conflicted individualconvincingly but also effectively embodies a stark contrast to everything Spider-Man stands for. Venom doesn’t care about right or wrong, nor does he have any qualms about killing. Sin-Eater is the same way. Just like the MCU, this web series knows how to convey the fact that Peter is trying to balance everyday life with superhero responsibilities. That juggling act doesn’t always work out. People get hurt, and he has to make a decision; sometimes, those choices lead him to dark places.
There’s More to This Spider-Man World Than You Think
Unlike many otherfan-made features, there is also real, palpable chemistry between the male and female leads, Tate Talley and Mackenna Shults. As much as Black Cat (played by Stacy Rose Lott) was a foundational character for the first season, Shults and Talley become even more memorable with the help of a heartbreaking scene in Episode 4. Truthfully, the Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson dynamic has never looked better than inWeb of Spider-Man.
Well, there’s also Peter’s bromance with Harry Osborn. Within the latest batch of episodes, their friendship is rebuilt and retested more times than you can count. Just like any good comic book, Season 2 wraps up with a cliffhanger that will unfortunately have you on the edge of your seat just likeNo Way Homedid (quite possibly even more so).
